This year you make your IMSA championship debut, but this wasn't your first appearance on the Daytona Circuit, how much has changed your approach and preparation for this race?

Well I participated at Daytona 24 in 2015/2017/2019 with some good results, my approach does not change over the years because this is a special one: here you compete in the one-shot race the same way of a championship race

For the first time after 15 years, you will drive a completely different car. What are the main differences between them? There is it also a possibility to see you in a farewell race in DTM?

Yeah all true, the cars are completely different, the M8 GTE is very different from my Dtm one, first, it has less aerodynamics and it's heavier and the engine is not turbocharged. For the farewell one, I don't think so, but you never know.

In Qualifying you put the fifth time overall, how was the session from your side?

Qualifying in a 24h race isn't so important, but in general, we have less speed than our opponents. We showed some decent race pace, so I'm confident for the rest of the season.

After a clean start, the car collected some debris, forcing an extra stop time. In the end, you finished in P5, not too bad considering it is Daytona.

In the race, my teammate had a problem just before my first stint so we couldn't do more but I view things positively. We have to wait and see if we can confirm our pace because Daytona isn't a normal track so it's all relative.

Now your mind is focused on the next races, which tracks can offer you the most interesting challenges?

For sure I'm waiting for Road America because the layout is interesting and the circuit has a lot of history behind it.

We will also return to race in Canada and I can't wait for Mosport because it's been a long time since I raced there and I'm curious.
